A Lord of Mysteries Tabletop Game for 2–6 Players
Top of The Sequence is a scenario-based confrontation game set in the world of Lord of Mysteries, presented in a collector’s edition gift box. It is a complete tabletop game rather than a comic book: according to the publisher’s rules, 2 to 6 players race up the Beyonder Sequences, a game lasts about 30 to 120 minutes depending on the number of players, and no game master is needed.
How a Game of Top of The Sequence Plays
Each player starts at Sequence 9 with a Sequence pass holding nine Sequence tokens, and the goal is to remove them all. Every turn you draw three clue cards, which can be a potion that removes one token, a Beyonder characteristic, or the rarest card of all, a source that lets a player who has reached Sequence 0 ascend as an Old One and win.
What the Collector’s Box Contains
The product images list an oversized laser-silver gift box (315 × 250 × 80 mm), six character scripts, a rulebook, a sheet of Sequence tokens, a stone-paper game map, nine Sequence passes, 102 item cards, 16 environment cards, 12 Beyonder character cards, 25 clue cards and nine double-flash Sequence badges. Each box also includes one numbered frosted laser tarot card assigned at random, so its design cannot be chosen. The packaging and printed components shown are in Chinese.
A Gift for Readers Who Love Game Night
With a goal taken straight from the novel’s ladder of Sequences and a cast of Beyonders to play, the set suits readers who enjoy game nights as much as the lore. The badges and the large gift box also make it an attractive display piece for collectors once the game is packed away.
