⛩ Kusuriuri presents himself as a humble Medicine Seller, yet the tales of Mononoke reveal a character of rare complexity. Enigmatic, distant and clinically precise, he observes humans with an almost surgical attention to detect the presence of vengeful spirits. His personality blends sharp politeness with apparent neutrality, masking a deep sensitivity to the suffering, trauma and unspoken wounds that feed the Ayakashi. In every case, his gaze first lingers on symbols, motifs and everyday objects that trap pain and transform it into a threat.

The method of Kusuriuri rests on three inseparable foundations: the Form, the Truth and the Reason. He must first understand the Form of the Ayakashi, its manifestation, shape and visual language. Then he seeks the Truth, the hidden story, the human tragedy, the intimate fracture that gave birth to the spirit. Finally comes the Reason, the deeper motive, the moral thread that justifies the entity’s existence. Without these three keys, his katana blade remains sealed. This intellectual and spiritual progression gives each investigation a unique tension where psychological inquiry matters as much as the supernatural confrontation.
