⛩ Whitebeard, whose real name is Edward Newgate, embodies the archetype of the noble pirate in the world of One Piece. Nicknamed the Strongest Man in the World, he rules not through tyranny but with an authority born from loyalty and respect. Aboard the Moby Dick, he built a family of sons-in-arms he protects at any cost. The banner of the Whitebeard Pirates is not just a symbol of power, but the seal of a promise between a captain and his nakama, a declaration of brotherhood carved into the seas of the New World.

Gifted with the Gura Gura no Mi, the Quake-Quake Fruit, Whitebeard possesses a cataclysmic power capable of fracturing the air, shaking the sea, and even making continents tremble. In battle, his shockwaves alter the world itself: a strike triggers an earthquake, a pressure bends reality. Combined with an imperial Haki and unmatched mastery of naval warfare, this power makes him a force even the Marines fear. Yet beneath the titan’s shell beats the heart of a father: he would rather endure than let a son fall. For Edward Newgate, strength is not the thrill of domination, but the responsibility to protect.

The peak of his legend is written during the Marineford War. Facing the Admirals, surrounded by his commanders and allies, Whitebeard advances like a living rampart. Every action reaffirms the ideal of the Whitebeard Pirates: to save a brother, preserve the legacy, and uphold a given promise. The battle reveals the extent of his charisma: even his enemies acknowledge the greatness of a captain who never retreats, despite his wounds, age, or betrayal. Until his final moment, his symbol flies, reminding the world that some legends transcend victory or defeat to become myths.
