⛩ Griffith is the central enigma of Berserk, a figure whose rise and fall shape the course of a dark and monumental epic. Born with blazing ambition, he turns destiny into strategy and willpower into authority. As leader of the Band of the Hawk, he embodies knightly idealism and visionary ambition, gathering warriors around a shared dream. His trajectory tells the making of a leader who fascinates as much as he unsettles, for the greatness he pursues demands sacrifices and is built upon choices that shake common morality.

Griffith evolves from a human strategist to an entity that transcends humanity itself. His tactical mastery, intelligence and presence on the battlefield make him an exceptional commander. But destiny leads him toward a more radical transformation. His purpose and desires push him toward a supernatural ascension that alters the balance of the world of Berserk. This transition marks the shift from admired leader to being of unfathomable power, bringing tragic consequences to those around him.

The relationship between Griffith, Guts and Casca is a crucial emotional axis. It illustrates the tensions between loyalty and betrayal, affection and instrumentalisation. Guts embodies raw strength and the will to pursue freedom, while Casca symbolises devotion and fragile affection in the midst of chaos. These interactions shape Griffith’s psychology and reveal his contradictions. He can inspire absolute faith and, at the same time, sacrifice loved ones to reach what he perceives as a higher end.
