⛩Ranni, known as the Moon Witch, stands at the heart of Elden Ring’s mythology as one of the most elusive and influential figures in the Lands Between. Daughter of Rennala, high priestess of the Academy of Raya Lucaria, and Radagon, she inherits a dual legacy where glintstone sorcery clashes with the strict Grace imposed by the Golden Order. Yet beneath this prestigious lineage, Ranni refuses to follow the destiny imposed upon the demigods: she abandons the deceptive shine of thrones for the cold clarity of a stellar path. Her personality reveals itself through restraint and mystery, a calm dignity that favours patient strategy over flamboyant displays. The turning point of her tale lies in the Night of the Black Knives, a moment when the established order falters and Ranni seals her final break from the Greater Will.

To escape the chains of a destiny others accept without question, she abandons her mortal flesh and adopts a doll’s body, an ethereal silhouette cloaked in blue, crowned with a wide-brimmed hat and a pale gaze shimmering with the Moon. This radical choice is not a retreat but a vow: to carve a parallel path where freedom is no longer a privilege granted by gods but a deeply personal conquest. Around her gathers a circle of allies chosen by affinity rather than fear: Blaidd the loyal wolf, Iji the giant blacksmith, and Seluvis the sorcerer steeped in unsettling knowledge. Each reflects Ranni’s vision: blending strength, intellect and subtlety to loosen the grip of a world locked beneath the Erdtree. In this cosmic drama, Ranni does not impose a new tyranny; she offers an alternative: the journey towards the Age of Stars, where the distance of the night sky shields humanity from the greed of thrones, and free will ceases to be an illusion. Her presence inspires a singular fascination: she embodies the possibility of a world shaped not by domination but by wisdom, poise and knowledge. The mark she leaves, woven with silence, blue shadows and still stars, remains as a compass on the edge of chaos, reminding us that one can break away without destroying, and trace an orbit instead of raising walls.
