⛩ Iconic character from « Berserk » with a sinister aura and a symbol of death, the Skeleton Knight only makes his appearance starting from volume 9.

After that, his rare appearances are always very brief, cold, and mysterious. Highly sensitive to the phenomenon of « causality, » his words sound like a cruel prophecy from which no one can escape. Resounding in the heart of Guts, his monologues always announce a tragic and inevitable omen for the hero, and at the same time, the major events that will unfold several volumes later in the story. They can also serve as explanations for certain elements in « Berserk » as was the case during his first real conversation with Guts.

The skeleton knight is also « the enemy of the inhumans. » With the help of his powerful Beherit sword and his great black horse, he has been battling and hunting apostles and the God Hands for 1000 years, especially Void, to whom he seems to hold a particular grudge. He is also an old rival of Zodd the Immortal.

His combat abilities are monstrous, alternating devastating sword strikes, abyssal vortexes, and dimensional portals. These allow him, among other things, to block enemy attacks and perform instant jumps through space-time. When he is absent, no one knows where he is or when his next appearance will be.
