⛩ Tarô Sakamoto is the archetype of the hero with a troubled past who has chosen the path of peace without losing his sense of justice. A former legend in the world of assassins, respected and feared by the greatest clandestine organisations, he laid down his weapons to open a small neighbourhood shop. This contrast between the feared man of yesterday and the friendly shopkeeper of today is the strength of the story Sakamoto Days™. We follow a character with a gentle, warm and playful appearance whose shadow hides superhuman reflexes and exceptional martial technique.
The life of Tarô Sakamoto changes when he starts a family. His love for his wife and daughter becomes his new compass. He favours discretion, humour and kindness, but the world of organised crime never forgets its former champions. When threats resurface, his vanguard instinct awakens. The narrative style of Sakamoto Days constantly plays with this double register: a simple and endearing daily life followed by sudden bursts of action where we rediscover the unfailing precision of the master hitman. This duality makes Sakamoto a deeply human hero, divided between family responsibility and debts from the past.
